New patent protects MooD's unique capabilities
MooD has conducted an active patenting process since 1999, aimed at protecting those unique mechanisms and methods that make MooD so distinctive. The process consumes a significant amount of effort: the process from patent application through pending to full grant can take 5-7 years, and can involve engaging in lengthy discussions with international patent examiners.
Gartner recognises MooD in global assessment of software capabilities
A report published by Gartner in 2011 underlines the key changes in the exploitation of enterprise architecture technology and recognises MooD's capability. In their 2010 Magic Quadrant, Gartner positioned MooD as Visionary and now Gartner have further recognised MooD in their 2011 assessment of key capabilities. In this report, Gartner have identified eight capabilities that they see as critical to improving decision making in today's enterprise. Unlike other EA tools, architecture is but one part of the MooD solution. The MooD architecture capability is an enabler, providing the integration and coherence to deliver powerful portfolio balancing and smarter decision making.
MooD software achieves the Queen's Award for Enterprise
The Queen's Award for Enterprise is the UK's most prestigious awards for business performance, recognising outstanding achievement by British companies. The Awards are made each year by The Queen, on the advice of the Prime Minister, who is assisted by an Advisory Committee that includes representatives of Government, industry and commerce, and the trade unions. Winners are publicly announced on 21 April, The Queen's personal birthday, and attend Buckingham Palace to officially receive their awards later in the year. MooD International achieved its first Queen’s Award in 2004.
